Our broodmares have competed successfully in the dressage ring and are from the top bloodlines in the industry today. These lines have been selected for temperament, conformation and movement, i.e., athleticism. We breed these mares to the best dressage/jumping stallions in the world to enable us to attain our GOAL and provide the industry with a “first class” upgrade at a reasonable price.

Rivita :
We have purchased the States Premium, Holsteiner mare, Komtess V, aka Rivita (Riverman  X  Flora I/Carolus), who is also approved Hanoverian and ISR/Oldenburg NA, from Hilltop Farm.  The 16.3 hand Rivita bears the world proven influence of Landego, Calypso II, Landgraf I and Cor de la Bryere.  She is in-foal to Contucci, for a 2010 foal, which will be a full-sibling to Conturri and Constantine.  We thank Hilltop Farm for making the opportunity available to us, to add a mare of Rivita’s quality into our broodmare band.

Rivita (Riverman – Carolus) has been one of Hilltop Farm’s best producers, including many Site Champion foals.  Rivita herself is an overall ‘8’ mare with the AHS.  She earned 9’s & 10’s on her jumping at her Holsteiner approvals in Germany.  She was the 1999 Reserve Grand Champion of Dressage at Devon and was a successful competitor through Third Level.

Here are a few of Rivita’s earned credentials:

1) 1999 Reserve Grand Champion Dressage at Devon
2) Shown successfully through Third Level
3) Champion of her approval in Germany, earning 10's for jumping ability and technique and 9's for her movement, both Rivita and her dam, Flora, are States Premium mares.
4) Overall '8' mare with AHS - including 9's on head and impulsion/elasticity
5) Premium Mare w/ ISR/Oldenburg - 108 points
6) At Dressage At Devon in 2008, Rivita won the Produce of Dam class and her offspring won both of the Hanoverian IBC classes, Conturri, for 3 & over, and Constantine, for 2 & under.  Both Conturri and Constantine are sired by Contucci and are being retained by Hilltop Farm for showing and breeding.

Rivita’s sire is Riverman (Redfort – Landego – Calypso II), a Grey, 16.2 ½ hand Holsteiner.
Not only are Riverman offspring athletes, but they share their sire’s beautiful type as well.  Countless premium award’s, breed show championships and Champion Mare results belong to Riverman offspring.

Rivita’s dam is Flora I (Carolus - Coniolan - Aldato) a States Premium Holsteiner mare.

All of Flora I’s offspring were Premium.
Flora I is sired by Carolus, an international level show jumper, whose dam Lacq also competed through S level.  Lacq has Ramzes, Ladykiller, and Anblick in her pedigree.
Flora I is out of Warpa (Coriolan/Aldato).  Coriolan also competed in jumping through S level, but was noted as well for his loose and light-footed movement and a large, uphill canter.  He is well known as the sire of Coriander, a Grand Prix dressage stallion under Wolfgang Schade.

Brimming :
A Hanoverian mare, sired by Banter (Bolero / Grande / Duellant), the foundation sire for George and Catherine Walker, Middlefield Farm’s broodmare band, and out of Abundance (PB Adroit / Akzent I / Ceylon).

Banter was a successful competitor in dressage and today his daughters are highly valued as broodmares.

Brimming is now in foal to Harmony’s Wamberto for spring 2009.  Wamberto took center stage early in his career when he became the 2006 Champion of the KWPN Stallion Show. His bright expression, outstanding elasticity, and superb elevation brought the crowds to their feet in Den Bosch, applauding this young son of the internationally celebrated stallion Rousseau.
Now, this charming young talent has arrived in the US, claiming more titles as Champion and setting new records. At the 2007 100-Day Stallion Performance Test at Paxton Farm, Wamberto surpassed his peers, winning the test with an impressive margin. His overall performance index was 158.78. With a dressage index of 168.87 and a jumping index of 145.15, Wamberto strongly demonstrated his versatility and outstanding athletic ability. He earned perfect 10’s for his character and canter, and 8’s and 9’s for his walk, trot, and rideability.

“Brimming’s” full sister, “Balarina”, is the maternal grand dam of Fielding, the Hanoverian Stallion who was the top placed North American bred stallion in the 2007 – 100 Day Stallion Performance Test, and finished 5th over-all.  His overall score of 125 points earned him the coveted ‘Class I’ designation. Highlights of his test results include a 9 on character and 8’s on temperament, ability to work, willingness to work, rideability, and general jumping aptitude.

We look forward to next spring’s foal with great excitement and anticipation.

Wamberto

Casa Blanca (1991 - 2008):
was sired by Cabaret (Cor de la Bryere – Landgraf I – Consul) and out of the States Premium mare Athena III (Caribo II – Ronald).

We were saddened in August 2008, when we lost our lovely, talented mare Casa Blanca.

In 17 years she was able to bring great joy and admiration to many people, but especially:
  1) Hilltop Farm, because she was Cabaret  X Athena III’s first foal born at Hilltop Farm
  2) Michelle Cappello who purchased her, then trained and campaigned her successfully for ten years through third level and developed to PSG
  3) Our Outer Banks Farm, where she had three exceptional foals that will carry on her legacy into the dressage/jumping ring.

  • Currituck, sired by Contucci and owned by Sue Desimpel, has qualified for the 2009 Four Year Old, Regional Championships in Training Level 4, in his first two Class A shows.
  • Davi’s Forelle OBX, sired by Davidoff Hit, and owned by Regina Sacha-Ujczo, was a winner of a total of 4 Top Ten awards in the breed classes, at Dressage at Devon in 2007 and 2008.
  • Davi’s Danseur OBX, sired by Davidoff Hit and owned by Janeen Lingowski-Grava, Topline Stables at Walden, was a winner of 2 Top Ten awards and also teamed up with Sharon Heaps weanling filly, Dolcé Amoré MVF (Davidoff Hit x Deseree/Dinard L) to win 2nd place in a very competitive ‘Get of Sire’ class for Davidoff Hit at Dressage at Devon, in 2008.

Casa Blanca added so much to our family and is sadly missed.
